Bio
2016: One of the most improved athletes in the Pac-12 conference, as she increased her triple jump personal-best by three feet and scored at her first career Pac-12 Championship and made the Husky top-10 lists … at the Pac-12 meet in Seattle, she finished seventh in the triple jump with a mark of 39-4 ½ … had her first career 40-foot triple jump at the Pepsi Team Invitational, going 40-6 ¾ to take third and go to No. 9 in UW history … also had a wind-aided triple jump of 40-7 at the UW-WSU Dual, finishing fourth … indoors, took ninth at the MPSF Championships in the triple jump at 39-9 ½ … raised her lifetime-best by nearly two feet in one meet, as she went 39-11 ¼ at the Husky Classic when her previous PR was 38-0 set at just the previous meet, the UW Invitational … her indoor PR makes her No. 8 indoors in school history … one of just four Huskies named to the Pac-12 All-Academic First Team.
2015: Competed primarily in the triple jump once again … was eighth in the triple jump at the UW-WSU Dual at 36-11 ½ … went 37-2 ¼ at the Spring Break Open … indoors, set a new triple jump best at 37-3 ¾ at the UW Indoor Open … was 11th in the triple jump at the Husky Classic at 37-0 ¼.
2014: Competed in the long and triple jumps … outdoors, set a wind-aided triple jump PR of 37-5 at the UW-WSU Dual to finish fifth … also jumped a wind-legal 37-3 ¼ at the Washington Open, taking third … best indoor triple jump of 36-10 ¼ at the SPU Final Qualifier in the Dempsey … long jump of 16-6 ½ at the SPU meet was her best indoors or out.
2013: A full indoor season in the horizontal jumps, competing at the MPSF Championships in the triple jump ... redshirted the outdoor season to preserve a year of eligibility, competing once unattached … at MPSFs, took 11th in the triple jump, leaping a season-best 37-2 ¼ … also went 36-11 ½ in the Husky Classic triple jump to finish 15th … outdoors, did the long and triple jumps unattached at Ken Shannon, going 16-7 ¾ in the long and 36-11 in the triple.
High School and Personal: Born at Yokota Air Base in Japan ... parents are Diana and Ernest Burr ... has two older sisters, ReShanna and Tiffani ... father ran track and held his high school's 4x400m relay record for over 30 years ... a three-time Washington state champion at the 1A level, winning the triple jump title as a junior and senior and long jump title as a senior in 2012 ... as a senior, won the state long jump title with a personal-best jump of 17-feet, 7-inches ... set triple jump best in winning districts as a senior, going 37-8 ... senior year state titles helped her team to the team title ... also ran on fifth-place finishing 4x400m relay at state in 2012 ... named a Tacoma News Tribune Female Athlete of the Year in 2012, and Tacoma Athletic Commission Female Track Athlete of the Year ... a Seattle Times Athlete of the Week ... earned team's most inspirational and coaches' awards ... a four-time Nisqually League Scholar Athlete ... also lettered two years in basketball and volleyball ... was valedictorian of her graduating class with a 4.0 GPA.
