Former Husky letterwinner Justice Magraw completed two seasons as an assistant coach for the Huskies from 2023-24 after previously serving as the program's Technical Coordinator in 2022 and as a volunteer coach in 2021. Magraw, who graduated in 2015 as part of the winningest class in school history, worked closely with the Husky back row as well as managing opponent scouting.
Washington put together a two-year record of 35-27 during Magraw's two seasons as an assistant coach, transitioning into the Big Ten and returning to the NCAA tournament in 2024. Magraw coached libero Lauren Bays during her junior and senior seasons, as Bays climbed up the UW career digs list, finishing No. 6 in school history with 1,386 career digs.
A native of Redmond, Wash., Magraw was a defensive specialist for the Huskies from 2012-15, during which time the Huskies had three 30-win seasons and totaled 117 victories, a program record. She earned her Bachelors degree majoring in Communications and graduated cum laude, having been named to the Dean’s List on ten occasions. She also competed for the Husky Beach Volleyball team and was named the 2016 Pac-12 Scholar Athlete of the Year for beach.
Her coaching career began at the club level with Sudden Impact, in Bellevue, Wash. in 2015. Magraw became the Head Varsity and Junior Varsity Coach at The Overlake School from 2017-18 and was named Emerald City League Coach of the Year.
Magraw entered collegiate coaching in 2019 at the University of Portland, where she was a volunteer assistant for the indoor team, and an assistant coach for the beach squad, until May of 2021. She returned to Washington in the fall of 2021 to assist in a volunteer capacity as the Huskies won the Pac-12 title and reached the Sweet 16.
