TUSCON, Ariz. - Freshman Jaclyn Softli scored twice as the UW women's soccer team got a 4-0 shutout at Arizona Friday night to improve to .500 on the season, 7-7-4 and 3-4-2 in Pac-12 play.
Softli (Sammamish, Wash.) scored the game-winner in the 21st minute on a cross that deflected off an Arizona player. Her second goal was the final one of the game in the 86th minute on a breakaway from midfield. It's the first two-goal game of Softli's career and she now has four on the season.
Her former high school teammate, sophomore Lindsay Elston (Sammamish, Wash.) scored in the 40th minute on an assist from junior Faustine Dufka (San Francisco, Calf.). Elston headed it in after a cross in front of the goal.
Dufka scored her first goal of the season in the 53rd minute on an open shot to the top right corner of the box.
