Washington’s Big Ten Tournament Run Ends In Semifinals

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – No. 23 Washington dropped its semifinal matchup against Michigan on Wednesday, falling to No. 16 Michigan 2-0 in Maryland.
The Huskies move to 10-6-2 overall on the season.
Washington peppered the Wolverine goal all game long but couldn't find the breakthrough at Ludwig Field. The Huskies fired off more shots (16-7) more shots on goal (8-4), and more corner kicks (10-2) than their opponent.
Michigan opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, squeaking a shot past Jadon Bowton to take the lead. They then doubled the advantage in the 69th minute, scoring from a penalty kick.
Alex Hall led the Huskies with four shots, three on target while Richie Aman added three shots with two on frame.
Aman, along with Harrison Bertos, Egor Akulov, Connor Lofy, and Jadon Bowton each played the full 90 minutes.
Clarens Dollin and Osato Enabulele each played a career-high minutes in the match. Dollin tallied 50 as a substitute while Enabulele notched 72 in his first career start.
The Huskies will learn their future postseason fate on Monday, November 17.
