SEATTLE – Back in action in California this weekend, the Husky track and field team hits up two meets for a full four days of competition this Wednesday through Thursday. The jumpers, sprinters, and throwers will be in Walnut, Calif. for the latest edition of the storied Mt. SAC Relays, and the distance runners will chase fast times at the Bryan Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa Pacific.
Kicking things off on Wednesday at Mt. SAC will be Jami Schlueter and Sofia Cosculluela as they open up in the men's decathlon and women's heptathlon. The two will complete their multi adventures on Thursday, when the UW javelin throwers will also get into the mix. Friday and Saturday will have the rest of the UW sprinters, jumpers, and throwers in action.
Huskies competing at the Bryan Clay Invite will start on Thursday, as the 800-meters and the 5,000-meters will run from the afternoon late into the night. Friday will have a big Husky presence in the various heats of the 1,500-meters.
