2024: Competed in the long and triple jumps, with some sprinting mixed in … outdoors, had a season-best long jump of 18-3 ¼ into a headwind, at the Brutus Hamilton Invite … at the Fresno State Invite, ran the 100m hurdles in 15.46 and the 200-meters in 26.14 … indoors, had a triple jump PR of 37-11 ½ at the Ken Shannon Last Chance meet … indoor long jump best of 18-1 ½ at the UW Invitational.
High School and Personal: Born in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin … parents are Kerrie and Jarrod Washburn … Kerrie was a track & field standout for University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in the long and triple jumps from 1994-97 and in 2023 she was inducted into the UW-Oshkosh Athletics Hall of Fame … Jarrod Washburn had a 12-year Major League Baseball career for the Anaheim Angels, Seattle Mariners, at Detroit Tigers, winning 107 games as a starting pitcher and helping the Angels win the 2002 World Series when he won 18 games … has two older brothers, Jack and Owen, who both play collegiate baseball at Texas Tech … won five individual Wisconsin state titles at the D3 level winning the long jump and the 300m hurdles as a senior in 2023, and winning the 100m hurdles, long jump, and triple jump as a junior in 2022 while taking second in the 300m hurdles … also a standout volleyball player, earning West-Lakeland All-Conference First Team in 2021 and 2022, and was a three-time All-State honorable mention … was president of the student council, president of the business club, member of yearbook club and Spanish club, and National Honor Society V.P. … named to Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association All-Academic Team.
