Washington Returns To Winning Ways With 2-0 Victory Over Wisconsin
September 26, 2025 | Men's Soccer
MADISON, Wisc. – The Huskies earned their second Big Ten win of the season on Friday night, taking down Wisconsin 2-0 on the road.
Washington improves to 5-3-2 on the season and 2-1 in Big Ten play.
After a scoreless first half, the Huskies jumped in front just five minutes into the restart. Richie Aman bagged his third goal of the season, firing home a cross from Alex Hall.
Hall has now contributed at least one point in four of the last five games while Aman has tallied a career-high 12 points and his second career game-winning goal.
The Huskies used a stout defense to preserve the clean sheet, including multiple key moments from Jadon Bowton that don't show up on the score sheet. The graduate student keeper was credited with one save, a crucial stop in the 81st minute to keep Washington in control.
The shot came from former Husky Julian Banks and was Wisconsin's lone shot on goal in the contest.
In the final 10 minutes, Washington absorbed the pressure well and found a few chances to counterattack.
In the 88th minute, the Dawgs pounced on the ball and Charlie Kosakoff used a perfectly weighted through ball to set up Zach Ramsey. The midfielder sent his shot around the keeper with his left foot to see the game off.
Ramsey now has five goals and 13 points on the season, both team high marks. The Mount Si native has already more than doubled last year's point total.
Kosakoff dished his second assist of the season on the play and has now netted at least one point in four of the last five games.
Washington concludes its road trip on Monday at Northwestern. The match will be broadcast on Big Ten Network with kickoff slated for 5 p.m. PT.
