SEATTLE - The Huskies take on Northwestern in Evanston to close out their two-game road swing on Monday night. The game will be broadcast on Big Ten Network with live stats available at HuskyStats.com.

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
Northwestern is 5-3-1 this season with a 1-2 record in Big Ten play. Most recently, the Wildcats fell 4-1 to No. 23 Maryland on the road. Northwestern is led by Joe Suchecki with four goals and two assists to pace the team with 10 points. Each of the game-winning goals for the Wildcats has been scored by a different player this season. Northwestern's wins this season have come against Eastern Illinois, Air Force, Xavier, UC Riverside, and a Big Ten Conference win against Rutgers.

SERIES HISTORY
In the first ever meeting between the programs last season, Washington claimed a 2-0 win at Husky Soccer Stadium.

LAST MEETING (9/20/2024)
SEATTLE – Washington men's soccer secured its second shutout of the season in a 2-0 decision against No. 20 Northwestern on Friday night at Husky Soccer Stadium.

UW improves to 4-2-3 on the year and earn its first-ever Big Ten win to go to 1-1-1 in conference action.

Since the 2019 season, the Huskies are 15-3-6 against ranked opponents in the regular season (at the time the game was played). This season, the Dawgs are 1-0-3 against teams currently ranked in the Top 25.

The Huskies got the scoring started early on an errant Wildcat pass outside the 18 that allowed Peter Kingston to intercept and pass back to Charlie Kosakoff. He returned it to Kingston and netted his second goal in as many matches.

It is Kingston's team-leading third goal of the season.

Nick O'Brien notched his first goal of the season in the 86th minute off the set piece taken by Jack Maguire into Harrison Bertos.

Jadon Bowton came up big with a penalty kick save in the 89th minute to secure the clean sheet. Bowton matched a career-high with four saves, the third time this season to record that feat.

B1G ROAD DUB
The Huskies claimed their second Big Ten win of the season on Friday night, taking down Wisconsin 2-0 on the road. Richie Aman scored his third goal of the season, a game-winner off an assist from Alex Hall to open the scoring before Zach Ramsey finished off the game in the 88th minute with his team-leading fifth goal of the season. Jadon Bowton also earned Washington's third clean sheet of the year in the victory.

FIRST HOME DEFEAT
The Huskies fell to Michigan 1-0 last Saturday, the first Big Ten loss of the season for Washington. The game-winning goal was scored from a penalty kick in the final minute of the first half. Washington tallied 16 shots including four on goal compared to only 11 shots and two on goal for the Wolverines.

HUSKIES TOP BULLDOGS
Washington earned another big win on Tuesday, taking down Gonzaga 6-0. It was the third time the Huskies have scored at least four goals in a game this season. Charlie Kosakoff opened the scoring with his third goal in the last two games. Alex Hall bagged his first career brace, while Mani Diop, Chad Sovde, and Zach Ramsey all found the back of the net as well. Richie Aman was the key distributor, as he recorded two assists in the game.

ON TOP IN B1G OPENER
Washington moved to 1-0 in Big Ten play on Friday after a 2-1 win over Michigan State at Husky Soccer Stadium. Charlie Kosakoff used his first career brace to dismantle the Spartans. He also tallied four shots, all of which were on goal to lead Washington to seven total attempts on target.

CLASS OF THE BIG TEN
Three of the top six players in total points in the Big Ten are Huskies. Zach Ramsey leads the way with his 13 points, third in the conference. Richie Aman is right behind with 12 in fourth. And Charlie Kosakoff is sixth with 10 points.

As a team, Washington paces the conference with 25 goals scored and is second in goal differential (14), second in assists (23), second in shots on goal (60), and third in shots on goal percentage (44.1%).

KOSAKOFF NAMED BIG TEN OFFENSIVE POTW
Charlie Kosakoff claimed his first Big Ten Conference weekly award on September 16 after powering Washington to its first Big Ten win last week. The award is Washington's first conference weekly award of the season.

Kosakoff has been an offensive leader for the Huskies this season, now second in goals (4), first in game-winning goals (2), and pacing the team in shots (26) and shots on goal (12).

RAMSEY RUNNING RAMPANT
Sophomore Zach Ramsey recorded his first career brace against Seattle U and continued his scorching hot streak. He has recorded at least one point in six of the last eight games, totaling 13 points during that stretch. He leads all Huskies in total points (13) and goals (5).

OFFENSIVE OPPORTUNITIES
The Huskies have been applying the pressure in every game this season, recording more shots than their opponents in all but three games. The Huskies currently rank 13th in the NCAA in corner kicks per game, averaging 6.67 per contest. The Huskies have scored 23 total goals, led by Zach Ramsey and Charlie Kosakoff each with four, the fourth-most goals in the nation.

HALL ON THE SCENE
Hall has become a crucial part of the Huskies' offense of late. On Friday, he assisted the game-winning goal against Wisconsin. Last week against Gonzaga, Hall bagged his first career brace while chipping in an assist for a career-high five points. He now has eight points on the season and has at least one point in four of the last three games.

WASHINGTON STATS
As of the most recent national stats update prior to UW's game against Wisconsin, Washington has rocketed into the statistical national rankings, Sitting in the top 15 in seven different categories.

Nationally, Washington currently ranks fourth in total goals (23), eighth in total points (66), 10th in scoring offense (2.56), 11th in goal differential (12), 13th in corner kicks per game (6.67), 15th in points per game (7.33), and 16th in total assists (20).

TOP DISTRIBUTORS
Richie Aman, Zach Ramsey, and Alex Hall have separated themselves as some of the best distributors in the NCAA. Aman currently ranks at the top of the charts with six assists, the most in the nation. Hall added his fourth assist of the year on Friday while Ramsey has three to his name this season.

Washington as a team has 23 assists on the season.

DAWG DEBUTS
12 Huskies have made their Washington debuts in the first two matches of the season. Levi Bieber, Brecken Bowers, Cameron Cruz, Clarens Dollin, Jaeger Felton, Carter Gay, Osato Enabulele, Sheehan Ganguly, Philip Kleeman, Zack Meier, and Kevin Hernandez, and Chad Sovde all featured during the first four games of the season.

BRICK WALL BIEBER
Levi Bieber has made four starts this season and has led Washington to two shutouts and a 2-1-1 record in those games.

In his second career appearance, Levi Bieber recorded his first win and shutout. He anchored the Washington defense against UNLV, recording two saves on six shots faced to secure the victory. He made two key saves against Gonzaga to help earn Washington's second shutout of the season. Jaeger Felton closed out the final 9:59 of the game to give both keepers the combined shutout in goal.

PICKED FIFTH IN CONFERENCE
Entering year two in the Big Ten conference, Washington has been picked to place fifth in the 11-team league, the conference announced on Tuesday.

Washington finished 8-6-7 last season, advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Huskies ended the season with a 4-3-3 record in Big Ten play, finishing fourth in the league with 15 points.

CLARK INKS EXTENSION
Following UW's first season in the Big 10 and their 11th NCAA Tournament appearance in the last 14 years, head coach Jamie Clark signed an extension at the University of Washington, tying him to the Huskies through 2029.

Washington has become a postseason regular under Clark and has consistently earned results in the national tournament. The Huskies secured their ninth second round appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 2024 after advancing out of a penalty shootout against Seattle U.

In 2021, Clark guided the Dawgs to a national runner up finish, the best result in program history, while also tying the program record for wins in a season with 18. The Huskies have finished with at least eight wins in 13 of Clark's 14 at the helm and have claimed at least 12 wins 11 times since his appointment as head coach.

HOMEGROWN TALENT
Washington's roster features 19 of 29 players who hail from the state of Washington. Four players claim Seattle as their hometown (Asher Hestad, Joe Dale, Cameron Cruz, and Jaeger Felton), while two each are from Spokane (Kenny Pierpoint and Jadon Bowton), and from Bellevue (Sheehan Ganguly and Chad Sovde).

BETWEEN THE STICKS
Washington returns goalkeeper Jadon Bowton for the 2025 season who figures to be instrumental for the Husky defense. He was named Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Week twice in 2024 and led Washington to the second round of the NCAA Tournament after making three penalty saves in a row against Seattle U in the first round.

His eight shutouts in 2024 were the ninth-most in the NCAA and the sixth-most in a single season in Husky history He also has participated in mental health activations for UW. Following his fifth year of soccer this fall, he plans to begin working a tech job in Seattle.

DEFENSIVE DOMINANCE
Junior defender Harrison Bertos made 20 starts in 2024 and helped UW to top-50 marks in the NCAA in goals against average and shutout percentage.

Bertos was selected in the second round of the MLS SuperDraft, but decided to return to Washington for his junior season in 2025.

CREAM OF THE CROP
In 14 season on Montlake, Jamie Clark has orchestrated the meteoric rise of Washington men's soccer, distinguishing the team as one of the nation's top college soccer programs. During his time at Washington, Clark has led the Huskies to a record of 175-68-40, three Pac-12 titles, and 11 trips to the NCAA Tournament. Of those postseason appearances, Clark's Huskies have made four trips to the NCAA Quarterfinals, including three straight NCAA Quarterfinals appearances from 2019-21.

Clark currently ranks seventh in winning percentage among active head coaches with a .696 percentage in 17 career seasons.

FRESH FACES
The Huskies welcomed six freshmen to the squad this fall. Kenny Pierpoint (GK), Clarens Dollin (MF/F), Carter Gay (D), Kevin Hernandez (MF), Zack Meier (D), and Osato Enabulele (MF) all enter their first season on Montlake. In addition to the first years, the Huskies also welcomed Cameron Cruz (MF), a transfer from Grand Canyon to the squad.
