Huskies Fall To Boston College On Sunday Night

PONCE, Puerto Rico - Washington dropped the third game of the Puerto Rico Baseball Challenge on Sunday, falling to Boston College 10-0. The Huskies move to 0-3 on the season.
Gunnar Nichols made his first start for Washington and tossed 4.0 innings while giving up four hits, four runs, and striking out two batters. Jackson Thomas took over in the fifth, making his first appearance of the season.
The senior threw the fifth and sixth innings with three hits allowed and four runs against three strikeouts. Jaxson Gore was the final pitcher of the day for Washington. He allowed one hit and two runs while striking out one batter.
Ian Draper logged two hits in his first career start. He also recorded two assists from the hot corner.
Ty Cowan and Aidan Dougherty each collected a hit on Sunday as well.
Washington will turn to Oregon State transfer Bryce Johnson for the finale in Puerto Rico. He will take the mound against Houston at 10 a.m. PT in Ponce.
