Huskies In Columbus For Big Ten Tournament

COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 23 Washington women's tennis opens the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday as the No. 5 seed.
The Huskies will face 12-seed Penn State at 8:30 a.m. PT. Live stream and scoring information can be found on GoHuskies.com.
DAWGS GETTING IT DONE ON ALL COURTS
Through 22 matches, Washington is a combined 110-34 across all courts in singles and doubles.
DOUBLE DAWGS
Washington has won 19 of 22 doubles points this season. The UW duos are a combined 41-11 in doubles action. UW is unbeaten on Court 2 in doubles.
HUSKIES IN THE ITA RANKINGS
Washington is No. 23 in the latest ITA Team Rankings that came out on April 21. Two Huskies are in the ITA singles rankings in No. 52 Reece Carter and No. 92 Erika Matsuda. In the doubles rankings, Matsuda and Carina Syrtveit are ranked No. 85.
ALL-BIG TEN RECOGNITION
Reece Carter and Erika Matsuda were named to All-Big Ten teams earlier today. Carter earned first team honors while Matsuda was named to the second team and sportsmanship team. Both Carter and Matsuda have earned an all-conference honor in all four years of their collegiate career.
HOME SWEET HOME
Under head coach Robin Stephenson, the Huskies are 115-29 in Seattle since 2015. The Huskies have posted double-digit home wins in four of the last five season, combining for 61 victories over that time. Washington completed its first undefeated regular season on Montlake for the first time since 2003.

Washington will await the NCAA Selection Show to see where they end up for a postseason berth. The selection show is scheduled to air on Monday, April 27 at 1:30 p.m. PT on NCAA.com.
