2023 All-America First Team (Pole Vault, Outdoors | Pole Vault, Indoors)
2024: Was extremely consistent in the pole vault, going 4.14-meters or higher nine out of ten meets overall … placed fifth at the Pac-12 Championships as UW finished 1-2-3-5 for huge team points, clearing 14-0 ½ … finished 16th at NCAA West Prelims, one bar shy of making nationals, making 13-9 ¼ … cleared 13-9 ¾ at the Fresno State Invite for third … runner-up at the Brutus Hamilton Invite, making 13-7 ¼ … indoors, was two spots out of reaching indoor nationals, finishing 18th overall in the NCAA, making a season-best of 14-3 ¼ at the UW Invitational.
2023: Huge first season with the Huskies, earning First Team All-America honors both outdoors and indoors with big PRs and sharing the Pac-12 pole vault title with teammate Nastassja Campbell ... at the NCAA Outdoor meet, tied for sixth-place with a make of 14-1 1/4 to reach the podium ... captured the Pac-12 title, co-champion with Campbell, as each cleared 14-3 ¼, an outdoor PR for Borton that ranks her fifth in school history … qualified for NCAA Outdoors by making 13-10 at NCAA West Prelims in Sacramento … cleared 13-8 ¼ at the first two outdoor meets of the season, at the Aztec Invitational and the Stanford Invitational … indoors, earned first career First Team All-America honor with a fifth-place finish at NCAAs, clearing two PRs including a top height of 14-5 ¼ to rank fourth in UW history … had first career 14-foot clearance in her first meet as a Dawg, clearing 14-0 ½ at the UW Indoor Preview … upped her PR to 14-2 ¾ at the UW Invitational which earned her first NCAA Indoor ticket.
2022 (At Tennessee): Qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary round as a freshman, and placed 17th overall with a jump of 13-9 ¾, an outdoor season-best … won the War Eagle Invitational going over 13-8 ¼ … indoors, had a season-best of 13-10 to take fourth at the Virginia Tech Challenge … also made 13-9 at the Tyson Invitational for sixth … was 13th at the SEC Indoor Championships, going 12-10 ¼ … in NCAA debut, made 13-1 ½ at the Virginia Tech Invite … named to the 2021-22 SEC Honor Roll.
High School and Personal: Born in Charlotte, North Carolina … parents are Chat Borton and Kelly Borton … has an older brother, Connor, and older sister, Lauren … placed fifth at the Ohio D1 State Championships as a senior in 2021 … had a high school best of 12-9 set in 2021 … missed her junior season due to Covid-19 … as a sophomore, was seventh at state in the pole vault, and was 24th at New Balance Outdoor Nationals … won the regional title as a sophomore, making 12-4 … also lettered in wrestling, placing at state in 2021 … a National Honor Society member, and National Technical Honor Society (Dental) … pursuing Neuroscience major.
