2024 Cross Country: Ran at the first three races of the fall season … raced at the Big Ten Championships, finishing 115th in a time of 21:08 as the 10th finisher on the squad … was 21st in the B race at Pre-Nationals in 21:33 … opened the year placing 44th in the open race at the Wisconsin Invitational … named to the Fall Academic All-Big Ten Team.
2024 Track: Set several PRs and ran at the Pac-12 Championships in her first full season … finished 27th overall in the 5k at Pac-12s in Boulder ... was 33rd in the 5k at the Penn Relays, running 16:45.36 … indoors, set a PR in the 5k of 16:38.22 at the Husky Classic … ran a mile PR of 4:52.49 at the UW Invitational … opened the season with a 3,000-meters PR of 9:28.28 at the UW Preview … named to the Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll.
2023 Cross Country: Did not compete during the fall season … work in the classroom earned a spot on the Pac-12 Fall Academic Honor Roll.

High School and Personal: Born in Maywood, Illinois … parents are Tracy and John Welin … has one younger sister, Samantha … received the Scholarship Cup for class valedictorian, the Harvard Book Prize, and was in Cum Laude Society … the Illinois 3A state cross country champion in 2021 … the 2021 state 3,200-meters champion on the track … also silver at state in 2021 in the 1,600-meters … third at state in 2022 at 1,600-meters … ranked sixth nationally in 2021 in the 3,200m with a PR of 10:03.72 … was fifth in the mile (4:50.79) and fourth in the 2-mile (10:17.67) at the 2021 adidas Indoor Nationals.
