2024: Earned the highest heptathlon finish ever by a Husky at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Boston, as he placed fifth to earn First Team All-America honors β¦ outdoor season was cut short by an injury β¦ at the NCAA Indoor meet, scored 5,941 points to place fifth and earn four team points as UW finished 10th as a team β¦ scored an even 6,000 points in the heptathlon at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invite to qualify for nationals, getting PRs in the 60m hurdles (8.04; #6 in school history), the pole vault (16-2 ΒΎ) and the shot put (48-3 ΒΌ) β¦ outdoors, completed day one of the decathlon at the Mt. SAC Relays in April but did not start the second day and missed the rest of the season β¦ earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors.
2023: Became the senior level Spanish National Champion in the decathlon in the summer of 2023, scoring a new personal-best of 7,979 points, the fourth-best mark in school history β¦ during the Spanish Championships, set PRs in the shot put at 47-10 Β½, the high jump at 6-9, the discus at 143-3, and the 1,500-meters at 4:31.48 β¦ dealt with an injury early in the outdoor season but battled back for the Pac-12 Championships for his first outdoor decathlon of the season, placing third overall with 7,611 points, as UW went 1-3-4 in the multis to score big points for the first team title in program history β¦ that score ranked 26th in the NCAA, barely missing a spot at nationals despite the training missed from injury β¦ ran a 110m hurdles PR of 14.31 at the Stanford Invitational on Mar. 31 β¦ indoors, earned All-America First Team honors with an eighth-place finish in the heptathlon at the NCAA Indoor Championships, helping the Huskies earn a program-best fourth-place finish β¦ became the second Husky to break 6,000 points in the heptathlon, scoring 6,061 at the Ken Shannon Last Chance Invite to qualify for nationals β¦ the Ken Shannon hep included four event PRs, a 6.99 time in the 60-meters, a 8.11 time in the 60m hurdles, a pole vault make of 16-0 ΒΎ, and a 1,000-meter run of 2:37.02, while also getting a strong high jump of 6-8 β¦ at NCAA Indoors in Albuquerque, had a long jump PR of 24-1 ΒΎ to go to No. 9 in that event in school history β¦ scored 5,992 points at the NCAA Indoor meet, getting up into podium position in the final 1k run β¦ also completed a heptathlon at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invite, scoring 5,745 including a shot put PR of 47-6 ΒΌ β¦ earned a spot on the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
Prior to Washington and Personal: Born in Santander, Spain β¦ parents are Armand Comin and Pilar Pescador β¦ doing postbaccalaureate work in Health and Nutrition after earning Bachelorβs degree in Exercise Science β¦ accomplished decathlete with a personal-best score of 7,832 points set while winning the Spanish U23 Championships in July of 2022 β¦ Β that mark set a Spanish National U23 Record β¦ competed for the Atletismo Numantino club based in Soria, Spain for coach Enrique Marquez β¦ placed 10th at the 2021 European U23 Championships in Estonia, scoring 7,688 points β¦ third at the 2022 Ibero American Athletics Championships, scoring 7,668 points β¦ an indoor heptathlon best of 5,480 from the 2020 Spanish Indoor Championships.
