LINCOLN, Neb. – The No. 11 Washington women's soccer team earned a crucial road point in dramatic fashion Sunday at Nebraska as Maya Loudd's last-minute equalizer turned defeat into a 2-2 draw at Hibner Stadium.

The two sides went toe-to-toe for the full 90 minutes of back-and-forth action. Washington ended with a narrow 18-17 advantage in shots, with the Cornhuskers putting seven attempts on frame to the Huskies' six.

Despite surrendering multiple goals for the first time in 2026, Tanner Ijams matched her season-high in saves with five.

Washington took a 1-0 lead into halftime behind an Alex Buck goal on the third year's return from U20 World Cup action.

Buck's 31^st-minute opener came on the rebound, with Jadyn Holdenried's blocked shot falling right at the Medina, Washington, native's feet before finishing into the bottom corner.

Nebraska came out of the break on the offensive, scoring twice in a four-minute span to turn the scoreline upside down.

Karli Williams tied the match on a direct free kick from 20 yards out, catching not one but both posts on the ensuing attempt before nestling in the back of the net. Just a few minutes later, Ava Makovicka headed the Huskers into the lead, beating Ijams from close range.

With their backs against the wall, the Huskies piled on pressure as the clock dwindled down, and with just 46 seconds to play, finally got another past Husker keeper Avery Gillahan to steal a point late.

Beginning with a Samiah Shell corner kick delivery, Washington created chaos inside the 18, keeping the ball alive before Loudd slipped a shot through a cluster of defenders, hitting the side netting to make it 2-2 at the death.
