
Washington Offense Erupts With 17 Runs, 19 Hits

The Huskies improves to 26-9 on the season and 4-2 in Big Ten action. UW has won its last six games.
At the plate, Alexis DeBoer became the first Husky since Baylee Klingler in 2022 to record six RBI in a game. She went 4-for-5 with two home runs.
Ava Carroll and Tia Durst had three hits. Carroll was a triple away from the cycle and had four RBI.
The 19 team hits is the most since March 6, 2020 versus Santa Clara.
Three pitchers saw time in the circle with Morgan Reimer (12-4) getting the start and earning her 12th win of the season. All four runs she gave up were unearned. Rylee Rehbein went two scoreless innings with one hit allowed and two strikeouts. Madi Balk made her third appearance of the season.
The Huskies came out swinging the first with seven runs on eight hits. Carroll and DeBoer led off the game with back-to-back home runs. Sophi Mazzola and Durst doubles extended the lead to four. Three more hits by Riley Peschek, Carroll and DeBoer brought in the final runs of the inning.

UW added seven runs in the second to go up 14. Two on and two outs in the second, Peschek hit her sixth career triple to bring in both runners. After a Jade Bubke walk, a Carroll double and DeBoer home run brought in runs four, five and six. Flores plated the final run on a single to center.

Illinois brought across four unearned runs in the third.
Walks to Mazzola and Peschek brought up Bubke who hit the Huskies' fifth double of the game. Bubke and Peschek scored on a DeBoer single for the 17-4 advantage.

The Fighting Illini scored the final run of the game on a bases loaded hit by pitch.
